The Hidden Epidemic: Why Your Hormones Might Be Sabotaging Your Results
Jared St. Clair joined Melissa Vogel on Bomb Life again to dig into something he calls a hidden epidemic — plummeting testosterone in both men and women, and the endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) driving it. If you just finished listening, here's the quick recap to keep in your back pocket.

The big picture
Testosterone levels are falling across the board — Jared's seen guys in their 20s and 30s with numbers that used to belong to men in their 60s and 70s, and studies back it up. It's not just a "guy thing" either: women naturally have more testosterone than estrogen in their bodies, and when it tanks, it affects everything from energy and motivation to muscle, fat loss, and mood.
Why it's happening
The culprit is EDCs — often called xenoestrogens — chemicals from outside the body that mimic estrogen and jam themselves into the same cell receptors testosterone and estrogen are supposed to use. Sometimes they send the wrong signal; sometimes they just clog the receptor entirely. Either way, the body eventually responds by producing less of its own hormones — because there's nowhere for them to go.
The catch: a standard blood test won't show you this. Your numbers can look "normal" while you're still dealing with real disruption underneath.
Why "normal" isn't the same as optimal
Jared's key point: standard reference ranges are built from averages of people who aren't healthy. Landing at the low end of "normal" doesn't mean you're doing great — it just means you're not flagged as a problem.
Is this protocol right for you?
If you're dealing with fatigue, brain fog, low motivation, intense PMS or menopausal symptoms, fertility struggles, low sex drive, mood swings, depression, anxiety, unexplained acne, or trouble building muscle, burning fat, or recovering from workouts — these are all signs your hormones may be out of balance.
Instead of just throwing testosterone boosters or more hormones at the problem, Jared's approach is to clear out the disruptors first so the body can regulate itself again, then support it with the right nutrients. That's the thinking behind EndoCleanse and Liver Vitality — the two products at the center of the protocol he walked through on the episode.
As a refresher: EndoCleanse is formulated to help the body identify and clear out the xenoestrogens and other endocrine disruptors clogging up hormone receptors, while Liver Vitality supports the liver in metabolizing and flushing out those toxins and excess hormones so the whole system can reset.
Two things Jared didn't have time to cover
There were a couple of pieces of the protocol Jared didn't get to dive into on the episode, but they're worth knowing about.
The first is the role of vitamin D3, K2, and boron in hormone production — all three are key building blocks your body needs to actually produce testosterone, not just balance it. K2 plays a particularly important role here: it helps direct calcium away from soft tissue, including hormone-producing glands, so calcification doesn't build up there and interfere with the signaling and production those glands are responsible for. That's why Vital D3/K2 is included as part of the protocol: it's designed to make sure the raw materials for healthy hormone production are actually there.
The second is gut dysbiosis — an imbalance in gut bacteria that's incredibly common and often overlooked. When the gut is out of balance, it disrupts hormone signaling throughout the body, which can undo a lot of the progress the rest of the protocol is designed to create. So if you deal with any gut related issues, such as gassiness, bloating, irregularity, acid reflux etc, consider adding Back On Tract with your meals. It was formulated specifically to address all of these types of issues with probiotics, enzymes, and gut soothing herbs that help restore gut balance so hormone signaling can function the way it's supposed to…it is Jared’s favorite formula!

What's next
Jared also teased something new: Endo Elevate for men and women — natural hormone enhancers designed to be used after the detox phase — launching in the next few months. Sounds like a reason to have him back on the show!
