Clinical Research Highlights

• DAO is the principal enzyme known to break down exogenous (dietary) histamine in the small intestine (ileum/jejunum).

• Some human and in vitro studies of DAO supplementation (not necessarily this exact formulation) suggest benefits in reducing responses to histamine-rich foods (e.g. bloating, flushing).
