Clinical Research Highlights
Ubiqsome® has been evaluated in human pharmacokinetic research. One published study found that the CoQ10 phytosome formulation produced greater oral absorption than standard CoQ10 in healthy volunteers, based on area-under-the-curve measurements.
A separate randomized crossover study in healthy volunteers compared phytosome-form CoQ10 with crystalline CoQ10. Although plasma bioavailability was similar in that study, lipoproteins collected after phytosome supplementation produced higher CoQ10 uptake in cultured human dermal fibroblasts and skeletal muscle cells.
Additional randomized, placebo-controlled research in healthy subjects has investigated CoQ10 phytosome for antioxidant capacity and healthy vascular function. These studies relate to the Ubiqsome® ingredient, not specifically to the finished Solaray product, so the findings should not be interpreted as guaranteed outcomes from this supplement.
