Description
LifeSeasons Anxie-Teen™ is a daily chewable formula designed to support a healthy response to everyday stress while promoting calmness, mental focus, and emotional well-being in teens.*
The formula combines 200 mg of L-theanine with 500 mg of GABA plus an herbal blend of ashwagandha, lemon balm, and passionflower. Together, these ingredients provide nutritional and botanical support for healthy nervous-system signaling, relaxation, focus, and the body's natural response to occasional stress.* The formula is designed to provide calming support without positioning the product as a sedative.
Key ingredient support includes:
- L-Theanine — 200 mg: An amino acid commonly associated with a relaxed yet attentive state. LifeSeasons uses it to support relaxation, mental focus, and a healthy response to everyday stress.*
- GABA — 500 mg: A naturally occurring neurotransmitter included to support relaxation and healthy neurotransmitter activity.*
- Ashwagandha Root Extract: An adaptogenic botanical traditionally used to support the body's ability to adapt to everyday stress.*
- Lemon Balm Leaf: Traditionally used to promote relaxation and a calm mood.*
- Passionflower Aerial Parts: A traditional calming botanical included as part of the formula's broader stress-response support.*
LifeSeasons recommends consistent daily use and describes the formula as supporting calm and focus through school, studying, activities, and other everyday demands.
Clinical Research Highlights
Important reseller note: I did not locate a peer-reviewed clinical trial evaluating the finished Anxie-Teen formula itself in teens. The research below concerns individual ingredients, mostly in adults, and should not be presented as proof that Anxie-Teen will produce identical outcomes.
L-Theanine: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial in healthy adults evaluated 200 mg/day of L-theanine for four weeks. The investigators reported changes in several measures related to stress, sleep quality, verbal fluency, and executive function. Anxie-Teen supplies the same nominal 200 mg amount per daily serving, although the populations and finished formulations are different.
A 2026 systematic review and meta-analysis covering 31 randomized trials found evidence that L-theanine may influence certain attention and reaction-time outcomes, while also noting that its overall clinical relevance remains an area of ongoing research.
Ashwagandha: Randomized controlled studies in healthy, stressed adults have reported support for perceived stress, psychological well-being, and some cognitive measures with standardized ashwagandha extracts. These studies used different extracts and considerably different doses from the proprietary 50 mg herbal blend in Anxie-Teen, so the findings should be viewed as general ingredient research only.
Lemon Balm: Human crossover research in healthy adults has investigated standardized lemon balm extracts during experimentally induced stress, with results suggesting potential support for calmness and certain cognitive-performance measures. Again, the studied preparations and doses were not equivalent to Anxie-Teen.
Other Ingredients: Xylitol, Mannitol Starch Complex (from Maize), Stearic Acid, Stevia Leaf Extract, L-Malic Acid, Citric Acid, Natural Flavors, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, and Silica.
